You’re Not Alone in Wanting to Give Thoughtfully

Many people want to be intentional about their charitable giving. But with so many worthy organizations, and so many urgent needs, it’s not always easy to know where to begin or to feel confident that your giving is making the difference you hope it will.

If you’ve ever asked yourself, am I supporting the right organizations? you’re not alone.

JCF as a Resource for Your Giving

One of the most important roles of the Jewish Community Foundation is serving as a resource for smarter, more meaningful giving. Our team brings deep knowledge of local nonprofits and community needs, and we’re here to help you think through the issues you care about most.

We can connect you with organizations -both in the Jewish community and beyond - that are doing strong, effective work aligned with your interests and values.

Help Evaluating New or Urgent Opportunities

When you’re considering a new organization, or responding to an urgent situation, it can be hard to know where your support will have the greatest impact. We can help with due diligence, including taking a closer look at a nonprofit’s mission, programs, and leadership, so you can give with greater confidence.

Thinking Strategically About Impact

Just as importantly, we’re here to help you step back and think strategically about your philanthropy. We can work with you to align your giving with your priorities, balance immediate needs with long-term goals, and even involve your family in meaningful conversations about generosity and responsibility.

On Your Terms

Philanthropy is deeply personal, and there is no single “right” way to give. Our role is simply to help make the process more thoughtful, manageable, and meaningful…on your terms.

If you’d like to talk more about how JCF can support your giving, we’d be glad to start that conversation. Contact Suzanne Galblum Dicken at sdicken@jcfkc.org or (913) 327-8286.
